OBIT SOWERS, MARTHA FIREBAUGH

SOWERS, Martha Firebaugh, 80, of Troutville, died Monday, March 15, 1993. She was a daughter of the late Charles Anderson Firebaugh and Zanella Watkins Firebaugh and was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Sowers. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Harry Carlson, Elma, N.Y.; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Carl and Corinne Firebaugh, Roanoke, Ralph and Ruth Firebaugh, Bedford, Calvin and Caroline Firebaugh, Troutville, Hortense M. Firebaugh, Roanoke; ten nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2 p.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel with Dr. Gene M. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fincastle Rescue Squad or the St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Daleville.
