MOST SCHOOLS TO REMAIN CLOSED
Schools in the New River Valley will be closed for the rest of the week because of snow, except possibly for those in Radford.
Pulaski, Montgomery, Floyd and Giles counties all decided Wednesday to stay closed today and Friday.
Teacher work days still are scheduled today in Giles and Floyd counties. Parent-teacher conferences in Montgomery County are to be held Friday, and it will be up to individual school principals whether to hold those that had been scheduled for today.
No decision was to be made in Radford until this morning, when road conditions could be checked.
