OBIT WALKER, ROBERT CHARLES

WALKER, Robert Charles, 64, of Roanoke, died Saturday, March 13, 1993 in a local hospital. He was a retired realtor and developer in Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Marcena Sowder Walker, Roanoke County; stepson and wife, Ronald E. and Evelyn H. Phennicie, Rocky Mount; sister, Mildred K. Woolridge, Gross Point, Mich.; niece, Judith Ann Woolridge, Gross Point, Mich.; nephew, Gary Woolridge, Chicago, Ill.; two brothers-in-law, Paul Sowder, Naples, Fla.; Emanuel Sowder, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Of Nazareth, 9:30 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Kenneth Stofft officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. A reception will follow the interment at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
