RED CROSS MONTH UNDER WAY
The Montgomery County Chapter of the American Red Cross has several activities planned as part of its celebration of national Red Cross Month.
Today, Saturday and Sunday, the chapter will sponsor a Health and Safety Fair at New River Valley Mall. Volunteers will offer free blood-pressure screenings, demonstrate cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first-aid techniques, and answer questions about Red Cross services.
The fair will run 6:30-9 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday.
The chapter also will hold a reception for its volunteers March 30 as part of the celebration.
The chapter welcomes donations of time and resources from the community.
