OBIT-PETERS, JAMES EDWARD

PETERS, James Edward, 59, died Saturday, March 13, 1993, in Roanoke. He was born in Rockbridge County on May 30, 1933, the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Johnson Peters. He is survived by five sisters, Louise P. Bartlett and Ann P. Gray, both of Buena Vista, Alice P. Hance and Christine P. Wallace, both of Lexington, Corrine P. Douglas of Williamsburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lomax Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rupert Strawbridge officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Lexington. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lomax Funeral Home.
