LEBANON GMC PLANT TO ADD 225 JOBS

ASA Technologies on Thursday reported plans for a major expansion that will add 225 jobs at its GMC door-panel manufacturing plant at Lebanon.

The addition of 60,000 square feet to the plant will take the company's work force to 375 jobs, said Charles Yates, executive director of the Coalfields Economic Development Commission. The seven-county authority will lend the company $650,000 to assist in the expansion.

The company, located in Russell County for four years, recently won a contract to provide door panels for the CK truck in GMC's 1500 series, Yates said. - Staff report
