OBIT MOORE, HERBERT CARL

MOORE, Herbert Carl, 79, of Glasgow, died Thursday, March 18, 1993 at his home. He was born in Rockbridge County on October 12, 1913, the son of the late Harry A. Moore and Ada Lilly Moore. He was a veteran of World War II having served four years, eight months and two days. He was retired from Lees Carpets after thirty two years service. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hills Moore, Glasgow; one daughter, Ruby Moore Worth, Glasgow; two grandchildren, Edward Worth and Kimberly Worth, both of Glasgow; one brother, Bernard Jay Moore, Lexington. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Glasgow Cemetery with the Rev. Wyatt Mayes and the Rev. Kenneth Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends at any time at the home, Kanawha St., Glasgow. Lomax Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
