OBIT NOLEN, EDITH RAKES

NOLEN, Edith Rakes, 82, of Vinton, passed away Friday, March 19, 1993. She was preceded in death by a son, W. G. Nolen. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Betty Nolen, Floyd, L. J. (Jack Frost) and Gloria Nolen, Vinton, Buford O. (Toby) and Miss Alice Nolen, Vinton; one daughter, Ava Ruth Brindley, California; a daughter-in-law, Goldie B. Nolen, Christiansburg; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, and stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 1993 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Mike Palmer officiating. Burial to follow in Parrish Chapel Cemetery, Chamblissburg, Va. Friends may call at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
