OBIT WHEAT, MAYMIE BELL

WHEAT, Maymie Bell, 84, of Route 6, Bedford, passed away Sunday, March 21, 1993, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County on April 19, 1908, a daughter of the late James Bell and Mamie Owen Bell. Her husband was the late Carter A. Wheat. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Owen C. and Eilene P. Wheat, Bedford; a sister, Frances B. Eubank, Roanoke; and a granddaughter, Doris Lynn Wheat, Bedford. Funeral services are incomplete and are being handled by Updike Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Capital Improvement Fund of Epworth United Methodist Church.
