OBIT SECRIST, DANIEL DAVID SR.

SECRIST, Daniel David Sr., 93, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, March 20, 1993, in Camelot Hall, Lynchburg. He was born May 30, 1899, in Rockbridge County, the son of the late John M. and Nancy Byers Secrist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Curtis Henson Secrist. Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy S. Blosser, Lynchburg; two sons, Daniel D. Secrist Jr. of Lynchburg, John H. Secrist of Buena Vista; one sister, Myrtle S. Scott, Alexandria; two grandchildren, Virginia S. Avondoglio of Andover, N.J., Daniel D. Secrist III of Hickory, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Harold Bowman. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Home.
