NO ONE DESERVES A DISEASE

IN RESPONSE to the Feb. 26 letter by Mrs. Wally Geiger, "More should emulate Arthur Ashe":

Shame on her for emulating everything Ashe wasn't. How can she perpetuate such hate and disdain toward something she obviously knows nothing about?

We AIDS patients are the most loving, caring, spiritual beings you will ever have the pleasure in knowing. We have had to become the most courageous individuals in the face of such adversity.

Our plight is difficult enough daily without hate and judgment. No one deserves a disease. We are all at risk. PHILIP R. SWEATMAN ROANOKE
