ANTI-ABORTION DISPLAY HURTS, NOT HEALS

CODY Lowe is one of your finest reporters. But he really missed the mark in his Feb. 28 column about the Field of Blood. Does he actually believe that something called the "Field of Blood" represents healing? These are 4,400 blood-red tombstones by the side of the road representing the "unborn children" aborted by their mothers.

For the many women who have to drive past this angry and judgmental display, I'm sure the word "healing" does not readily come to mind. ROBIN HAMMERSTROM ROANOKE
