OBIT HULME, WILLIAM
HULME, William, 80, of Roanoke, died Sunday, March 21, 1993. He was retired
from Appalachian Power Company with 37 1/2 years of service. He was born in
England, Kearsley-Near Bolton Lancashire, and came to America when he was 11
years of age. A long time resident of McDowell County, W.Va., and Pulaski,
Va., he had been a resident of Roanoke for 7 1/2 years. He was preceded in
death by his parents, one sister and one brother. Surviving are his wife,
Frances Owens Hulme; two daughters, Judith Rae Beuchert, Martha Jo Neblett,
both of Silver Spring, Md.; three grandchildren, J. W. Linkenauger, Jill Lisa
Harrell, Jana Lea DiPasquale; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Linkenauger,
Tyler Linkenauger, Justin Harrell; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will
be in the Chapel Mausoleum of Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W.Va.,
at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 1993. Pastor Hugh Cole will officiate.
Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel in Roanoke after 3 p.m. Tuesday where
the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m.
