COX CABLE ROANOKE GETS NEW MANAGER

Gretchen Shine, a 10-year veteran of Atlanta-based Cox Communications, on Tuesday was named vice president and general manager of Cox Cable Roanoke Inc.

Shine, vice president and general manager of Cox Cable South Carolina, succeeds Bernard Langheim, who retired Dec. 31. The appointment is effective April 1.

Cox Cable owns and operates 24 cable systems in 16 states; Cox Cable Roanoke serves nearly 60,000 households in the Roanoke Valley.
