OBIT BUTT, MYRTLE MALLORY

BUTT, Myrtle Mallory, 89, of Salem, died Wednesday, March 24, 1993. She was formerly of Lafayette and was a member of the Methodist Church there. She is preceded in death by her husband, James I. Butt, son James Perry Butte, who died in 1981. She is survived by a sister, Ruby M. Dameron of Salem; daughter-in-law, Semone Butte of Oklahoma City, Okla.; granddaughters, Peggy Butte Irens of Dallas, Texas, Dolly Butte Bell of Panama City, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Rev. A. Howell Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home.
