OBIT PARRIS, VIRGINIA DUFFY

PARRIS, Virginia Duffy, 77, of Salem, died Monday, March 22, 1993. She was employed by Pic-Quik Market for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Lee Duffy; brother, Norman R. Duffy. She is survived by a son, Doug Parris; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Jack Cisco, Clara and Preston Scaggs; sister-in-law, Helen Duffy; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Mr. Bob Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
