OBIT THURMOND, ROBIN L. JR.

THURMOND, Robin L. Jr., of Smith Mountain Lake, passed away Monday, March 22, 1993. He was raised in Roanoke and graduated from the University of Georgia. Mr. Thurmond was owner of Lake Accounting and Tax Service, and was an avid lover of the outdoors. Surviving are his wife, Mary; his son, Robin; his two daughters, Kara and Stacey, and his father, Robin L. Thurmond Sr. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday from Our Lady Of Nazareth Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth G. Stofft officiating. A fellowship gathering will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Virginia Wildlife Federation (4602-D Westgrove Court, Virginia Beach, VA 23455) or the Scruggs Volunteer Fire Department (Rt. 3, Box 347, Moneta, VA 24121).
