ILLEGAL WEAPONS SEIZED FROM SPOTSYLVANIA STORE

Authorities seized explosives, illegal weapons and other items from a Spotsylvania gun store, state police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said Thursday.

No arrests had been made in Wednesday's raid of American Survivalist, she said.

Items seized included brass knuckles, Oriental five-sided razor blades, exploding targets and an exploding booby-trap, Caldwell said.

"Those items are illegal in Virginia and cannot be sold," she said.

The store also had illegal switchblades and a police-style blackjack baton for sale, she said. Guns for sale at the store were legal and were not seized.
