OBIT-DUDLEY, MAUDE WEBB

DUDLEY, Maude Webb, 92, of Roanoke, died Thursday, March 25, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James E. Dudley Sr. and was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Catherine Webb. Mrs. Dudley was a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Cox Rickman, Lucille Underwood, Betty and Wister Yopp, all of Roanoke, Rebecca and Nathan Blaede, Nashville, Tenn., Nancy and Fred Russell, Salem; two sons and daughter-in-law, James E. and Gladys B. Dudley, Salem, Cecil A. Dudley, Roanoke; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charlie Webb, Lacy Webb, both of North Carolina, Elvie Webb, Floyd, Randolf Webb, Roanoke; also six sisters, Cora Burnette, Reston, Maggie Webb, Callaway, Nancy ("Kate") Simmons and Louise Underwood, Christine Underwood, all of Roanoke, Bessie Gallagher, Lynchburg; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 1993 with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
