OBIT-SCOTT, OLA FRANCES

SCOTT, Ola Frances, 83, of 7507 Plantation Road, Hollins, died Thursday, March 25, 1993. She was a member of Greenridge Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of Francis Holladay Scott. She is survived by three daughters, two sons-in-law, and a dear friend, Doris and Laddie Hughes, June and Bill Bonn, Velma Jo Scott, and Gene Hatcher; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald R. and Phyllis Scott, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Alfred Hughes Jr. of Richmond, Carol Ann Slate, Delores Smith, Diane Scull, Terry Davis, Mary Frances Scott, all of Roanoke, Donald R. Scott Jr. of Fayetteville, Pa.; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois S. McConnell and husband, Mack; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Larnie Slayton and wife, Arlene, Kermit Slayton and wife, Sterling, both of Roanoke, Billy Slayton and wife, Joyce of Farmville; also a host of other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27 with Rev. Lonnie W. Barnes and the Rev. William A. Cole officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Greenridge Presbyterian Church or the Roanoke County Rescue Squad #5. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
