OBIT-DUNCAN, ERCELL BOWER

DUNCAN, Ercell Bower, 80, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, March 25, 1993, at Radford Community Hospital. Mrs. Duncan was born at Laurel Ridge (Floyd County) on April 23, 1912, to the late Jack and Ocie Annie Jennings Bower. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Duncan. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Cecile and William Holliday, Robin and Jeff Meador, all of Blacksburg, Shirley and Moyer Hiatt, Martinsville; one son, Robert "Bobby" Duncan, Blacksburg; one sister, Faye Reid, Brooksville, Florida; two brothers, William "Gray" Bower, Gene Bower, both of Pinellas Park, Florida; four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John M. Hopkins will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
