AKERS, Ada M., 89, of Woodlawn, passed away Friday, March 26, 1993. She is
survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Ila Mae and Clyde Burcham of
Woodlawn, Agnes and Peter Eanes of Salem, Necie and Luther Burnett of
Austinville; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Rosa Lee Akers of Galax;
two sisters, Nannie Frazier and Susie Smith, both of Austinville; one brother,
Roosevelt Mabe of Austinville; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;
seven great-great-grandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 1993, at the Coulson Church of the
Brethren with burial in the Mabe Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home Saturday evening. Funeral arrangements by
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
