Among those scheduled to participate are Mayor Trent Crew, a member of the United Telephone-Southeast board of directors, and Wytheville-Wythe-Bland Chamber of Commerce President Herb Cooley.
Company officials including Tom Green, United public affairs manager in Wytheville, also will take part.
United had offices on First Street and later in another shopping center, the Wythe Shopping Plaza, before it closed its office in Wytheville in April 1986.
The company, with a service area of seven counties and two cities in Southwest Virginia, consolidated all its operations in Bristol, Tenn. Business calls were routed to that office, and bills were paid by mail or at Wytheville banks where United had made arrangements.
Bills still can be paid by mail, or at the customer service center.
