NEWMAN-FRIDY

Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Newman of Christiansburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Anne of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to James Hardin Fridy, Jr., son of James and Helen Fridy of Clemmons, North Carolina.

Miss Newman is a graduate of Virginia Tech. She is Co-owner and Principal of Innerplan, Inc., a commercial interior design firm in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Mr. Fridy is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is Plant Manager for Van Waters and Rogers in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The wedding is planned for June 5, 1993 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
