MCKINNEY-KILBOURN

Laura Baker Kilbourn and RickieGarnett McKinney were married March 27, 1993 in Colonial Presbyterian Church by Reverend Harold Aldridge ofCharlotte, North Carolina. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The maid of honor was Mendy Alt, friend of the bride, of Roanoke. Thematron of honor was Sue Cauthorn, cousin of the bride, of Ashland, Virginia. The bridesmaids were Kellie Brown, friend of the bride, of Salem; Teresa Brummer, friend of the bride, of Havelock, North Carolina; and Brenda Blaha, sister of the groom, of Roanoke. The flowergirls were Mary Blaha and Teresa Blaha, nieces of the groom, both of Roanoke.

The best man was Guy Castillo, friend of the groom, of Blue Ridge. The ushers were D. L. McKinney, brother of the groom; Bob Tiedemann, Keith Graybill and Curtis Dudley, friends of the groom, all of Roanoke. The ringbearer was Tony Blaha, II, nephew of the groom, of Roanoke.

The bride's chapel length gown was white satin with an organza overlay,appliqued with lace, and encrusted with iridescent sequins and seed pearls. The floor length veil, which was her mothers, fell from a crown of chiffon and seed pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of white tiger lilies, ivy, chiffon, and seed pearls.

The bridesmaids wore black satin gowns with high-low hemlines, a plunging v-back, and bows on the sleeves and back waist. They carried bouquets of whitetiger lilies encased in brandy snifters with black and gold cascading ribbons.

The groom was in black full dresswith a white paisley vest and tie. Thegroomsmen wore tuxedos with black and gold ties and cummerbunds.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nelson Kilbourn, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia Western Community College and isemployed by Herbert N. Kilbourn, Real Estate Appraiser.

The bridegroom is the son ofJacqueline Joy McKinney of Roanoke, Virginia, and the late Donald LukeMcKinney. He is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and is employed by Plastics One.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke after a wedding trip to Florida.
