FAIRFAX TEEN-AGER DIES IN CAR CRASH

A 17-year-old girl died and three other youths were injured when a night out ended in a traffic accident that police said appeared to be alcohol-related.

Fairfax County police said Mary C. Kelly, of McLean, died instantly in the crash Friday night.

The victims - all seniors at Langley High School - were riding in a vehicle that went out of control after passing another car, police said.

Police said the car went off the road and down an embankment where it crashed into a tree. Police said Kelly was thrown from the vehicle's front passenger seat.

Police did not identify the 16-year-old who was driving the car, but they said charges were pending an investigation. Police said the youth was taken to Reston Hospital in fair condition. - Associated Press
