RHOTON, Elmer Harold, 52, of Troutville, died Saturday, March 27, 1993. He
was born February 25, 1941, in Scott County, Va. Surviving are his wife, Jean
R. Rhoton; sons, John W. Rhoton of Roanoke; Christopher P. and Joseph H.
Rhoton of the home; daughters, Kelly J. Rhoton of Roanoke, and Amanda K.
Rhoton of the home; mother, Rachel Dancy of Phoenix, Ariz.; father, William L.
Rhoton of Gastonia, N.C.; brothers, Jack Rhoton and Bill Rhoton of California;
sister, Faye Winter of Ault, Colo.; stepsisters, Carolyn Bou-Kather and
Barbara Defoe of Gastonia, N.C.; grandchildren, Justin and Jennifer Rhoton of
Roanoke; father-in-law, James E. Rowe of Roanoke; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Jim and Mary Rowe of Springwood, Va., Jack and Gail Bowyer of
Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be from Oakey's North
Chapel 1 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Gene Williams will officiate. Interment will
follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
at Oakey's North Chapel.
