OBIT HOLT, LAWRENCE ELSWORTH

HOLT, Lawrence Elsworth, 68, of Route 1, Thaxton, died Thursday, March 25, 1993, at his residence. He was born in Bedford County on September 5, 1924, a son of the late William Holt and Violet Creasey Holt. He was a member of Oakmulgee Baptist Church, and was a longtime custodian at Bedford Elementary School, having been employed by the Bedford County School Board for over 41 years. He is survived by two nephews, George Holt and James Holt; and a niece, Delores Delquist, all of Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 1993, at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Elmer Buford officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Friends may call at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
