OBIT BENNETT, EARLE LAW

BENNETT, Earle Law (Mrs.), 83, of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, March 26, 1993. She was a resident of Eldercare for the past 7 1/2 years, and lived at 115 Ann Sink Street, Rocky Mount, prior to entering Eldercare. She was born in Franklin County February 16, 1910, to the late Jessie Ben and Beulah Cooper Law, and was the widow of Irvin Bennett, who passed away June 12, 1975. She had worked for Franklin Memorial Hospital and Haywood Jewelers, and had sold Avon for a number of years. Mrs. Bennett was a lifelong member of the Doe Run Christian Church. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Mae B. and John S. Wynn, Martinsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Gene C. and Judy F. Bennett, Salem; two grandsons, one granddaughter and five great-grandsons; one brother, J. B. Law, Rhode Island; and two sisters, Deane Caherity of Charlotte, N.C., Nancy Hodges of Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral home. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m Sunday in the High Street Cemetery with Dr. Roy N. Ford Jr. and the Rev. John Leeper officiating. Arrangements by Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
