OBIT BONDS, ROBERT LEWIS

BONDS, Robert Lewis, 45, of Goodview, died Tuesday, March 23, 1993. He was employed by Roanoke Electric Steel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel H. Bonds. Survivors include one daughter, Toni Bonds, Rocky Mount; two sons, Tirrell Bonds of Goodview, and Daniel Phelps of Vinton; father and stepmother, Arthur William and Florence Virginia Bonds; four brothers, Eddie L. Bonds, Goodview, Curtis W. Bonds, Moneta, Arthur Junior Bonds, Roanoke, James M. Bonds, Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Evelyn Swain, Bedford, Barbara Mays, Mary Bonds, and Kathleen Bonds, all of Roanoke; a very devoted friend, Linda Phelps, Vinton; two grandchildren, Justin and Ebony Bonds, Rocky Mount, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Ray Arrington will officiate with interment in Green Spring Baptist Church Cemetery, Goodview. The procession will assemble at 2503 Delta Drive, N.W. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
