OBIT CHANEY, OCIE

CHANEY, Ocie (Miss), 76, of Route 2, Ferrum, died Saturday morning, March 27, 1993, in Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born March 26, 1917, the daughter of the late Henry and Roxie Ann Foster Chaney, and was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lera and Kermit Hale, and Effie James, all of Ferrum. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, 1993, from the Union Primitive Baptist Church by the Elder Leonard Brammer with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin 3 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
