OBIT PUTERBAUGH, SAMUEL W.

PUTERBAUGH, Samuel W., 81, of Lynchburg, died Friday, March 26, 1993. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harrison Puterbaugh and Geraldine McGinnis Puterbaugh. Mr. Puterbaugh retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of CW-4, and served during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam war. He is survived by a daughter, Devon P. Wells of Buena Vista, and a son, Derek Puterbaugh of Centralla, Ill. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the American Legion Hall, Buena Vista. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Route 1, Box 72, Buena Vista, following the memorial service. Diuguid Rivermont Chapel, Lynchburg, is in charge of arrangements.
