OBIT KNICK, WILLIAM FREMONT JR.

KNICK, William Fremont Jr., ("Bill"), 69, of Lexington, died Saturday, March 27, 1993, at his home. Mr. Knick was born September 5, 1923, in Clifton Forge, Va., a son of the late W. Fremont Knick Sr. and Bessie Scott Knick. He was a member of the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church, also a member and Past Master of the Mountain City Masonic Lodge #67, past District Deputy Grand Master 20th Masonic District, Rockbridge Royal Arch Chapter #44, the Moomaw Commandery #27 Knights Templar, the Roanoke Scottish Rite and Kazim Temple, the Rockbridge Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #125, the Shenandoah Valley V.F.W. Post, National Rifle Association, the Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club, a 4-H All Star, a Hunter Education Instructor, and a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Knick was a retired police officer with the Lexington Police Department with 33 years service. Surviving are one son, William F. Knick III, Lexington, Va.; two daughters, Scott Whitmer Davis, Dayton, Va., Kimberly Lou Knick, Lexington, Va.; two grandchildren, William F. Knick IV, Taylor Brooks Davis; one stepgrandson, Tav W. Sensabaugh; one brother, John C. Knick, Natural Bridge, Va. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. H. Wray Sherman III and the Rev. William K. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow with Masonic rites in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lexington First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
