OBIT POFF, JOHN BILL

POFF, John Bill, of Braeburn Drive, Salem, died Sunday, March 28, 1993. He was a member of Virginia Heights Lodge #324 A.F.&A.M., the Scottish Rite Bodies and Kazim Temple Shrine. He was a life member of the Roanoke Life Saving Crew and was a former employee of Lotz Funeral Home and Oakey's Funeral Service and was owner of Poff Removal Service. He is survived by his wife, Gracie M. Poff; one brother, Joseph A. Poff, Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred P. Kelly, Boones Mill, Mrs. Arlene Smith, Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31 with the Rev. Dr. Harry Y. Gamble officiating. Masonic Rites by Virginia Heights Lodge #324 A.F.&A.M. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Cripple Childrens Hospital, Greenville, S.C. or to the American Heart Association. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
