OBIT WARNER, HELEN VIA
WARNER, Helen Via, 79, of Salem, died Monday, March 29, 1993, in a local
nursing home. She was a native of Pulaski, and had been a Salem resident for
35 years. She was retired from Newberry's where she worked in the cosmetic
dept. She was an active member of First Christian Church in Salem. Survivors
include her husband, Clinton David Warner, Salem; one daughter and son-in-law,
Barbara Warner Hall and Leon R. Hall, Roanoke; a sister, Lula V. Cord, of
Roxboro, N.C.; two grandchildren, Donald E. Holliday and Julie H. Simmerman,
both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. in the John
M. Oakey's & Son Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wayne W. McCauley. Burial
will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday
at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Salem
Rescue Squad. John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem is in charge of
arrangements.
