VANDERGRIFT, Ballard Preston Sr., 85, of Rt. 2, Moneta, died Monday, March 29, 1993. Surviving are his wife, Lois Orange Vandergrift; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ballard Preston Vandergrift Jr. and Nancy Vandergrift, Roanoke, Charles Allen and Shirley Vandergrift, Roanoke, R.C. and Nina Vandergrift, Richmond, Robert Gregory and Cathy Vandergrift, Moneta; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Faye and Jeff Moran, Daleville, Linda Sue Gibson, Roanoke; five brothers, Sam G. Vandergrift, Emmett Vandergrift, both of Roanoke, Frank Vandergrift, Salem, Enoch Vandergrift, Alexandria, Jesse Vandergrift, Black Mountain, N.C.; one sister, Evelyn Creasy, Alexandria; special friends, Bobby May and family, Montpelier; also 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 1993, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. Dr. H.R. Thompson and the Rev. Chester Likens will officiate. Burial will follow in Burkholder Cemetery in Chamblissburg. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
