The action came at a joint meeting of the supervisors with the town councils of Dublin and Pulaski, which will consider similar resolutions at their regular meetings.
The towns also expressed curiosity about what the county plans to do with the Pulaski Theater building, but the county itself has not decided yet.
The building was donated to the county after it closed as a movie house more than a year ago.
The Pulaski County Straight Street Committee has approached the board about using the facility as a teen center, something which has brought mixed reactions from representatives of businesses located around it on Pulaski's Main Street.
A study is being made of the suitability of the building for such a program and will be discussed at the board's April meeting.
Other options mentioned for the building include trying to return it to a movie operation (the town of Pulaski has had no movie theater since it closed), demolishing it to create more downtown parking space and using it as a community center.
The cost of renovating it as a teen center is estimated at $100,000, although a lot of labor and material probably would be donated by supporters of the idea.
