The exhibit is open to artists and crafts people in the Blue Ridge Mountains who are 18 years and older.
The juror for this year's show is John Perreault, senior curator of the American Crafts Museum in New York City. The top prize of $500 will be awarded by the City of Roanoke for the work selected by the juror as best in show.
200th anniversary
Ash Lawn-Highland, the home of President James Monroe, celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.
The 1,000-acre estate adjoining Thomas Jefferson's Monticello in Charlottesville will house a new show, "Monroe and Jefferson: A Society to Our Taste," from April 24-Dec. 31. The exhibit commemorates the friendship between the two men.
