THOMAS' TIMELY WARNING

THANK YOU for Cal Thomas' column, "What's in a name," on Dec. 16. It was especially timely in light of the front-page article regarding the resignation of the chairman of the Montgomery County School Board.

The Roanoke Times & World-News is doing all of us a great service in printing Thomas' warning of forces in America that undermine our heritage as a nation under God. Let's stop all attempts to wipe out references to Christmas and Easter. CHARLES P. CRESSMAN UNION HALL
