BLACKSBURG ROCK GROUP RELEASES CASSETTE

Visible Shivers has released its first independently produced cassette - "One-Eyed Dog," featuring 10 original songs by the Blacksburg-based band, printed lyrics and photographs of the band members.

The band made its debut in November 1990 at Jo Cody's in Bluefield, W.Va. Since that time, it has performed nearly 100 shows. Members are Kurt Adam, drums, percussion and background vocals; Karl Estes, bass; David Simpkins, vocals, guitar, harmonica and percussion; and Lee Worley, vocals, guitars, mandolin and percussion.

George Wade, a member of the Blacksburg band Not Shakespeare, produced the cassette. It was recorded and engineered at Not Studios in Blacksburg.

The cassette will be available at Books, Strings & Things in Blacksburg and Roanoke and the Record Exchange in Blacksburg.
