LACY, GRACE ELIZABETH GORMLY

LACY, Grace Elizabeth Gormly, 102, of Clifton Forge, died on January 1, 1993, in Clifton Forge, Virginia. Mrs. Lacy was born December 14, 1890, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late William Myers and Grace Carson Gormly. She was a graduate of Linden Hall School for Girls in Lititz, Pa., and attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh. She had resided in Covington since 1914. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a charter member and life member of Jackson River Garden Club and a member of Alleghany Historical Society. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Lacy Sr. in 1965, who managed Covington's Westvaco Mill. She is survived by one son, Paul B. Lacy, Jr. two grandchildren, Paul B. Lacy III and Anne Lacy Wright and two great-grandsons, Calvin P. Wright Jr. and Jacob L. Wright, all of Covington. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. James A. Rohne officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Lacy Jr. at Fiddletop Farm at any time. Pallbearers will be Horton Beirne, Howard Hammond, Charles Hammond, Hillary Kelly, Jack Persinger, Roscoe B. Stephenson III, Michael Collins and Woodrow Rooklin. Alternate pallbearers will be James Steger, Morris Hudson, R. E. Hatcher, Crawley Williams, Robert Hubbard and elders and deacons of First Presbyterian Church. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 2:45 p.m.
