FARMER, KELLY CROCKETT JR.

FARMER, Kelly Crockett Jr., 74, of 420 Church St., Dublin, Va., passed away Saturday morning, January 2, 1993, in the Radford Community Hospital. Born November 4, 1918, in Bluefield, W. Va., he was the son of the late Kelly Crockett Farmer Sr. and Rose Linkous Farmer. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Farmer Price and three brothers, Ray, Clarence and Eugene Farmer. He was a member of the Thornspring United Methodist Church, a veteran of War World II having served in the United States Navy for seven years. He was a retired millwright at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Roseberry Farmer of Dublin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Farmer and Wesley Price of Dublin, Va., Pamela Farmer and Danny W. Jones Sr. of Dublin; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Horton and Jesse E. Shaffer, also of Dublin, Brenda Horton and Rev. Larry Williams of Bristol, Tenn.; five grandsons, Kenneth George Price, Jacob Wesley Price, Stephen Kelly Price, Danny Wayne Jones Jr., Jeremy Christopher Jones; four stepgrandsons, Jeffrey Shawn Shaffer, Scott Daren Shaffer, Kelly Ray Williams and Gary Lee Williams; stepgreat-granddaughter, Samantha Nicole Williams; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Price; five sisters, Ruby Franklin of Hopewell, Va.; Elsie Pack of Pulaski, and Mrs. Asa (Margaret) Roane of Pulaski, Mrs. Logan (Ella) Brown of Pulaski, Mrs. Curtis (Hazel) Chrisley of Pulaski; two brothers, Roy Farmer of Dublin and Julius Farmer of Bluefield, W.Va. Funeral service will be held Monday 2 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Cecil Baxter, Rev. Victor Scott and Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin, Va. Visiting will be anytime today after 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Full military honors will be conducted at the mausoleum by the Pulaski V.F.W. Post #1184, Pulaski, Va. and the Virginia Defense Force. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
