COON, CARL CLIFTON
COON, Carl Clifton, 89, of Richmond and formerly of Roanoke, died Friday,
January 1, 1993, at the Masonic Home of Virginia in Richmond. He is survived
by his wife, Lillian O. Coon; two children, Carl Clifton Coon Jr. of
Carrollton, Va., and Alice C. Fitzpatrick of Roanoke; five grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren. Mr. Coon was associated in the electrical business
prior to his retirement from General Electric Company; was a member of the
Villa Heights Baptist Church where he served as a deacon; was a member of the
Lakeland Masonic Lodge since 1926; and was a lifelong member of the Lions
Club. Graveside services with Masonic rites will be held 11 a.m. Monday at
Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Masonic Home of Virginia or to a favorite charity. Arrangements by Woody
Funeral Home, Laburnum Chapel, in Richmond.
