IS THE MESSAGE TO HATE GAY PEOPLE?

IN REGARD to the Rev. Jack H. Burke Jr.'s letter of Dec. 17: I do not know what Bible this man reads. I do know, however, that my Lord teaches love. God wishes for all of his children to live in harmony. Man is imperfect. He will sin. The Lord knows that and forgives those who wish for his forgiveness.

The good reverend should re-evaluate his teachings and ask himself if the Lord's message is to join the militia and hate the homosexual man and woman.

Hate the sin, Rev. Burke, love the sinner. MEREDITH L. HELM SALEM
