BROOKS-EDWARDS

Christi Edwards and Sam Brooks were united in marriage on December 30 in the Vinton War Memorial. The wedding was immediately followed with a reception.

The matron of honor was Shannon Edwards, sister-in-law of the bride. The best man was Tommy Brooks, father of the groom, and the flowergirl was Sarah Edwards, sister of the bride.

The bride wore a gown of white silk shantung. The gown features a portrait neckline. The bodice is accented with alencon lace and pearl clusters. A silk bow with streamers decorates the back waist. The floor length full skirt has a border of alencon lace. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses.

The bride is the daughter of Skip and Eileen Edwards of Roanoke, and is the sister of J. R. Edwards of Vinton and Sarah Edwards of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Tommy Brooks and the late Pat Brooks of Vinton, the stepson of Sandy Brooks, and the brother of Theresa Brooks of Vinton. The couple plan to reside in Vinton.
