GILMORE, FRANCES VERNALEE FLETCHER
GILMORE, Frances Vernalee Fletcher, 68, of 314 B. Wolf Street, Narrows,
Virginia, died Sunday morning, January 3, 1993, in Giles Memorial Hospital,
Pearisburg. She went home to be with the Lord. She was born in Pearisburg,
Virginia on August 25, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Robert Ray and
Lenora Lovell Fletcher. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church
in Pearisburg where she was a member of the Women's Bible Class and the Prayer
and Share Group. She was an active member of the Giles Memorial Hospital
Auxiliary. She is survived by her devoted husband, William E. Gilmore Sr. of
Narrows, Va.; her loving son and daughter-in-law, William E. Jr. and Pamela P.
Gilmore, Christiansburg, Va.; her precious granddaughter and her fiancee,
Whitney L. Gilmore and Randy Sweeney, Christiansburg, Va. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday morning at 11 in the First United Methodist Church in
Pearisburg, Va. with the Rev. Warren Stewart officiating. Entombment will
follow in Birchlawn Abbey. The family will meet their friends at Riffe's
Funeral Service in Narrows, Monday evening from 7 until 9. In lieu of flowers,
the family requests that all contributions be sent to the First United
Methodist Church, 1101 Valleyview Drive, Pearisburg, Va. or the Giles Memorial
Hospital Foundation, 235 S. Buchanan Street, Pearisburg, Va. 24134.
