AYERS, LILLIE MITCHELL

AYERS, Lillie Mitchell, 88, of Roanoke, died Saturday, January 2, 1993. She was a life long member of Belmont Baptist Church and was the widow of A. D. Ayers. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, W. Alfred and Marion Adele Ayers, Roanoke, Earl O. and Harriett Ayers, Marion, S.C.; her grandchildren, Gary D. Ayers, Vinton, Beverly A. Cross, Elgin, S.C., Anthony (Tony) Ayers, Columbia, S.C., Mitchell Ayers, Marion, S.C.; two great-grandsons, Brian and Jonathan Ayers, Vinton; three sisters, Nora Whiteside, Ethel Mitchell, both of Roanoke, Mamie Ayers, Drakes Branch, Va. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Tuesday, January 5, 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Thomas S. Cribb and the Rev. Bruce A. Noffsinger officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
