AQUATIC TEAM PLACES SECOND IN TWO MEETS
The Southwest Aquatic Team finished second in a pair of recent meets.SWAT, an areawide team associated with the Pulaski YMCA, captured second in the Four Seasons Country Invitational at Bluefield (W.Va.) State College.
More than 400 swimmers from 10 teams competed in the meet.
Grant Throckmorton, Brian Manning and Sarah Clements each finished in the top three of their age groups.
Overall, SWAT had 17 swimmers and eight relay teams capture medals.
In a three-team meet, the Chapel Hill, N.C., YMCA outscored SWAT 390-327.
The Danville YMCA was third at 152.
SWAT had 48 individuals qualify for the PYSA Championship during the meet.
The championships are March 6-7 in Raleigh, N.C.
