HAYNES, ELMER E., ("BUD")

HAYNES, Elmer E., ("Bud"), 75, of Roanoke, passed away at his home Sunday, January 3, 1993. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of Captain. His recent book of which he was so proud of details these activities. Surviving are his wife, Doris Turner Haynes; two daughters, Marti Haynes Ottaway of Roanoke, Debbie Haynes of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Dorcas H. Birchim, Bishop, Calif. Services will be from Oakey's South Chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Rolen C. Bailey will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Ronald McDonald House. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
