MUTERSPAW, IVY CHITTUM
MUTERSPAW, Ivy Chittum, 88, of Lexington, died Wednesday, December 30,
1992, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mrs. Muterspaw was born March 12, 1904, in
Virginia, a daughter of the late Newton Fletcher Chittum and Elizabeth Frances
Chittum. She was the widow of the late Clarence Everett Muterspaw. She was a
member of the Kerrs Creek Baptist Church were she served as clerk for 36
years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. P. G. Humphreys, Pell City, Ala.;
three sons, Roy E. Muterspaw, Wilmington, Del., C. Leon Muterspaw, Lexington,
Wallace E. Muterspaw, Buchanan, Va.; eleven grandchildren, and eleven
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 3,
1993, at 2 p.m. at the Kerrs Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Will Hamric
officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will
receive friends Saturday night from 7 to 8 at the Harrison Funeral Home,
Lexington.
